Practice Profile

Stephen's practice is primarily focused on real estate law. With over 16 years of experience gained in private practice and in an executive role within one of the largest financial institutions in North America, Stephen has participated in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, land development and loan securitization, and has completed commercial lending transactions in excess of $3 billion. In particular, Stephen is experienced in leases and landlord and tenant matters, purchase and sale of retail plazas, office buildings and other commercial properties and mortgage refinancing transactions. Stephen has served as legal counsel for many business associations, condominium corporations and non-profit organizations, and is a regular speaker at seminars given to banks and other organizations.

With a uniquely diverse skill set in both business and law, Stephen takes a holistic approach in resolving clients' problems and getting the best results possible for clients.

Stephen joined Sun & Partners in 1993 and became a partner in 1996.
